| Abstraction is a process of simplifing and presenting the essence of the subject matter. These works are based on the circle and the grid, sometimes using elements of the mosaic. The majority of these works are based on observable phenomena, while others are of a conceptual nature, such as "Chapel" and the "Garden of Life". Yet another component used is symbolism; the "Pacific Tapa" studies are good examples of this approach. |
