| In these paintings the nude becomes the focal point and has a spatial significance to the whole design concept. Each work is based on my life drawings from the model. The figure, always considering the whole composition, can be distorted to accomodate the balance required within the framework of the painting. "Matataki Reclining Nude" is an example of this technique, giving the work a contemporary appearance. |
