Origin
Bleak and rugged at the Southern end of the Darran Mountains, the Hollyford Valley consists of coarse crystalline rocks, glaciers and sheer walls. Mount Talbot is in the middle distance, while other prominent peaks can be seen on the skyline. This valley is considered to show the New Zealand wilderness at it's most primal.
