Origin
Memories of earlier days were the motivation for this work – furnishings, fireplace, cameo of family member; patterned glass doors and teddy bears; all evoke times past, when life seemed simpler. But of course they weren’t – times were just different.

Was there more heat from such a fireplace? No, but as a creation, the surrounding tiles and embellishments made it seem warmer than our present day very unbeautiful heating systems. The handcraft of the chair was special too, and seemed to have a character of it’s own.
