Origin
Bungalows from the 1939 era are different to the villas of the previous Fables painting.
This work combines a rhododendron tree and flowering lillies with the cat, bird, steps and wrought iron fence.
In the older areas of Hamilton, these features are common. In their totality, they provide a rich combination of colour, design and whimsy to everyday life.
