I
began this painting, working from a life drawing. The work comprises two parts - the reality of
the sitter, or model, and the dreams she projects. The bridal
group and the surroundings are part of her fantasy and imagination.
The painting is diffused with light and transparency; the only
solidity in the painting is the model.
