3 represents a series of tableaux. The
above painting is one of these; the source came from years of life
drawing, and in this composition I have placed a group of figures
in a landscape. Male models in our class were a rarity, so
much of my work is based on the female figure. I have composed
a narrative piece from these drawings , again painting what
I enjoy most - figures in a landscape.
I have used a soft, impressionistic method,
placing many glazes, one over the other, to cast
a translucent light on the scene.
