Origin
The semi-abstract painting above contains some of my favourite elements, such as Greek architecture, steps ascending, portals, arched windows, a bell-tower, the moon and a glimpse of a figure descending the staircase. The format is one of overlapping planes to achieve depth and balance.

Light on the foreground buildings illuminates the scene. The pink orb shown above centre also funtions as a source of light.

The painting has touches of mystery and surrealism and is essentially a narrative work. It is consistent with the genre shown in Gallery 3.
