Origin
I obtained this view of Hamilton from a crescent at the end of one of our main streets, overlooking the Waikato River. Houses in this neighbourhood, are of the older style. They are of a simple box-like design,featuring an open fireplace and a red-brown steel roof.

As the houses recede into the distance, the chimney pots and red roofs become a significant feature in this suburban landscape. In the distance, all the trees, dwellings and foliage become a blue /grey blur on the horizon.
