There are a few ancient renovated villas in Hamilton, which have always intrigued me, due to the intricate designs surrounding the verandahs, doors and gables of these houses.
In May, grapefruit, plentiful in trees in Hamilton, ripen. The whole effect is one of abundance and colour in a New Zealand autumn.
